Itinerary
Meet your private driver in the port of Livorno and journey as far as Portovenere, a UNESCO site considered the gateway to the Cinque Terre. During the visit on your own of the village, don’t miss walking the main street, to see the Palazzata and visit St. Peter church. Don’t forget to taste the pesto sauce offered by the local producers located on the main street.
Take the ferry on your own (the driver assists for purchasing the tickets) from Portovenere and ride all the way to the 5 Terre. Get off and visit Manarola on the way, then board again and finish in Vernazza around lunchtime.
After approximately one hour get off in Vernazza here have time on your own for lunch to experience the local flavors like pasta al pesto, pansotti with walnut sauce, local anchovies, stuffed mussels, paired with the 5 Terre white wine.
In the afternoon, meet the driver and head to Corniglia, the smallest of the five towns. Here the atmosphere is always pleasant and nice, enjoy a good gelato then head back to Livorno, traveling along the panoramic road for the last stunning views of the area.
If you wish to stop in Pisa, better cut the visit to Corniglia. Upon arrival in Pisa, get amazed by one of the eight wonders, the leaning tower and the other monuments located in the area: the baptistery and the duomo of Pisa.
After some time in Pisa, head back to Livorno.

Tour details
- Meeting point: cruise facility or area for drivers in the port of Lvorno.
- Duration: 9 hours
- Activity Level: moderate. The walking tours involve some up/down hill walking, climb 3-4 flights of stairs is necessary, step on and off of boats and trains if needed.
- Unfortunately, this version of the tour is not suitable for people with wheelchair or reduced mobility. In this case let us know your needs, we will design a lighter version of the tour.
- In case of rough sea or inclement weather, the boat ride could be canceled. In that case, the tour takes place entirely by van or train.
- Advised clothing: comfortable shoes and clothes, sunglasses, hat/cap, sunscreen.
- The boat tour is available from Easter to All Saints. From November to March, the tour takes place by minivan/train.
